This 6-week beginner course at Lake View Art Supply –
Northpark (3314 W Foster AVe) gives students a solid start in watercolor
through hands-on practice and guided instruction. Each weekly 1 1/2 hour
session covers: demonstrations, guided exercises, and individual
feedback. No prior experience required. Basic materials will be
provided for use in class; supplies are available for purchase at the
store.
Starting October 8th. Discover the expressive potential of pen and ink in this six-week drawing class. The course begins with exploratory exercises in abstraction, and concludes with students finishing a still life drawing from life. Suitable for beginners and artists looking to deepen their drawing practice.

Pen and Ink Drawing Class - Thursdays 6-7:30
Discover the beauty and precision of pen and ink drawing in this six-week introductory course. Students will learn how to create expressive drawings using line, texture, and contrast while developing strong observational skills.
This class is designed to build both creativity and technical skill. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will explore essential pen and ink techniques including line control, hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, and texture rendering. Each week builds on the previous one, gradually introducing methods for creating depth, light, and form with ink.
Students will practice drawing natural objects, still life arrangements, and textured surfaces while learning how to translate what they see into confident ink marks. By the end of the course, participants will complete a finished pen and ink drawing that brings together the techniques covered throughout the class.
